This piece is well-written (you are a fantastic writer). But I feel this desire to "shed identities" and spend time with people who voted to actively oppress other human beings is really scary. Most MAGA people do not care if BIPOC or LGBTQ folx have basic human rights. They do not care if they KILL someone bc they refuse to be vaccinated. I don't think its brave or commendable to stick up for them in any way, shape, or form. It's actually showing us that you don't care that much about vulnerable communities, either, and that you won't put their basic right to life over your own personal convenience. I was sad to read this from you. Hoping at some point you might reconsider where you stand.
